Potato Dextrose Agar Plates 10 Pack
Agar work is where cultivation gets serious. It is where you isolate clean genetics, identify contamination before it spreads, and build the culture library that every future grow depends on. None of that happens without a reliable plate.
These are pre-poured Potato Dextrose Agar plates — ten of them, ready to use straight out of the package. No mixing, no sterilization, no pouring. PDA is one of the most widely used formulations in mycology: the potato-derived starch and dextrose provide a nutrient profile that supports strong, visible mycelial growth across a wide range of species. It is the standard for a reason.
Each plate is triple-layer sealed for shipping and storage. Open the package inside your SAB, let the plates equilibrate, and work. The agar layer is thick enough to support multiple transfers without drying out prematurely.
What you can do with them:
- Isolate sectors from a colonized grain jar or liquid culture
- Clone fruiting bodies by taking a tissue sample from a fresh mushroom
- Test liquid culture or spore solution for contamination before committing to grain
- Build and maintain a living culture library across multiple species
- Run air quality checks in your workspace before a session
Ten plates per pack. Use them with a scalpel, work inside a still air box, and seal each plate with lab film after every transfer.
Formulation: Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Format: Pre-poured, ready to use. Pack: 10 individually sealed petri dishes.
Ten plates. The foundation of a serious culture library.
