Lab Sealing Film
Petri dishes left unsealed are petri dishes inviting contamination. Every time you open a plate and set it down without sealing it, you are gambling on the air quality in your space. Lab sealing film removes that gamble.
This is a self-sealing, stretchable paraffin-based film — the same type used in professional mycology and microbiology labs worldwide. It wraps around the rim of a petri dish, conforms to the shape, and creates a breathable barrier that blocks dust and airborne particulates while still allowing limited gas exchange. Your cultures breathe. Contaminants don’t get in.
Each roll is 2 inches wide and 197 feet long — enough to seal a serious number of plates before you need another. Pre-cut width means no trimming. Stretch, wrap, done.
Where it gets used:
- Sealing agar plates after pouring and during incubation
- Wrapping culture jars and bottles in long-term storage
- Protecting labware between sessions
- Securing grafts and plant propagation work
Rated for temperatures from -80°C to 40°C. Chemical resistant. Stretches over 500% without tearing. It holds through the full incubation period without drying out or losing its seal.
Seal your plates. Every time.
